Jeffrey Calandra

Special Agent Jeffrey Calandra possesses a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Masters in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Computer Forensics. He joined the FBI in 2010 and has worked child pornography, criminal computer intrusions, fraud and bomb threats investigations. He has also assisted in counter-intelligence, counter-terrorism, drug and gang related cases.

In 2014 SA Calandra pioneered the electronic device detection K9 program for the FBI and has subsequently supported Federal, State and local searches with his partner Iris, in Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Kentucky, Ohio, Washington D.C, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Idaho, Washington, California, and Alaska

Additionally he has also supported either operationally and/or via informational sharing our law enforcement partners in Italy, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Australia, Thailand, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Canada, South Korea and Czech Republic.

The results of SA Calandra and K9 Iris’s searches have yielded approximately 1000 search warrant operations and have located approximately 10,000 concealed and/or missed digital devices.

K9 Iris is a 10 year old black Labrador retriever. She is currently the only dog in the world trained in the method and manner being presented.
