SKIDDS / CATS Class 190 – April 10-12, 2017 – Kern County, CA
For those that don’t understand K9’s or have a misconception as to how beneficial K9’s can be during a high risk Patrol and SWAT deployment, SKIDDS / CATS is the answer.
The goal of this 3 day course is to educate and train Patrol Officers, SWAT operators and K9 handlers on the deployment of a police dog in a high risk / tactical operation such as: tactical tracking, barricaded suspects, live gunfire, approaches, entries, blind corners, room clearing, hallways, stairs, attics, crawl spaces, vehicle assaults, arrest techniques and even in a gas environment.

PASO ROBLES, CA – Wednesday, May 17, 2017
Training and Certification for Narcotic, Explosive, and Patrol teams. Location is the Paso Robles Fair Grounds with registration beginning at 0800. Lunch will be provided beginning at 1130. MERCED AREA, CA – June 9, 2017
Training and certification for Narcotic and Patrol teams. Narcotic certification and training to include load car scenarios. Patrol certification and skids training.
Location is 16881 Schendel Avenue, Delhi, CA 95301. We will be at the back side of the school. Registration begins at 0800 – we will start running teams at 0830. For dual purpose dogs, please run narcotics first.

BAKERSFIELD, CA K9 TRIAL – June 23-24, 2017
The Bakersfield Police Department is proud to announce the return of its annual Bakersfield Police K-9 Trials. All active-duty city, county, and federal agency K-9 teams are invited to attend this grand event. Trial will take place in Bakersfield, California on June 23 & 24, 2017. The trial will take place indoors at the Rabobank Arena where friends and family of each K-9 team can enjoy the air conditioned atmosphere while cheering on their favorite handlers. The event will also be open to the general public and several vendors will be on hand offering the latest in K-9 related equipment. The host hotel for K-9 teams is the Marriott Hotel, 801 Truxtun Avenue at $90.00 per night. The hotel is located directly next door to the Bakersfield Convention Center making transportation to and from the trial easier for handlers. You can register at: marriott.com/bflmc. The Regional California Narcotic Canine Association (CNCA) Training & Certification Day originally scheduled in Roseville has been relocated. The new location will be the 8 building Exposition Center or “Expo Center” at the California Exposition & State Fair 1600 Exposition Boulevard Sacramento, California 95815. The directions are as follows:
Exit Business 80 onto Exposition Boulevard and go East. Continue on Exposition Boulevard and go past the fairground entrances. Turn right onto Ethan Way. Take Ethan Way to Hurley Way and turn right to Gate 12. After you go through Gate 12 continue on the back roadway of the fairgrounds. Go to the fourth right you can make, not counting the double roadway adjacent to the horse racing grandstand. After you pass the Raging Waters water park, the roadway curves slightly right under the monorail track. Go right on this roadway (Papa Murphy Soccer Field will be on your left). Once you reach the end of this roadway the fairgrounds open up and you will see the 8 concrete building Expo Center immediately in front of you and to the right.
